Songs of a Sad Summer

$4.00

I thought I could write a poem

Effortlessly

Until the black cockatoos lumbered across the sky,

Carrying lost souls in their voices

A collection of my poetry covering the journey from surviving day-to-day when faced with grief, to reaching the metaphysical.

I sip my macchiato and watch

The dead walk by

Little more than a rustling thought.

Answers are never easily found, but often little things can be. Which, as I look at them, prove more than little.

Soft rains

Caress the pebbles

With gentle colours

Also available on Amazon (Kindle / paperback)
